Important Note: This is a multifaceted role. Beyond pure accounting, you will be involved in administrative tasks, stock management, and upholding BRAC’s strict safeguarding policies, which protect staff and program participants from all forms of harm. Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting:

  • Prepare timely monthly and yearly accounts reports.
  • Manage all bill vouchers, daily cash transactions, ledgers, and stock books.
  • Ensure daily sales and cash are deposited to the bank and manage funds properly.
  • Prepare and send weekly cash and fund requisitions to the head office.
  • Review and process payment documents (cheques, vouchers) for employees, partners, and vendors in line with BRAC finance policies.
  • Ensure timely VAT and Tax deductions from supplier bills and deposit them to the bank.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
  • Manage adjustment entries, including debit and credit notes.

Operations & Administration:

  • Issue customer-wise delivery challans, money receipts, and gate passes.
  • Generate accurate invoices and cash memos.
  • Involve in all product sales, delivery, and receiving processes.
  • Maintain the stock book with date-wise entries and update the asset register.
  • Handle general administrative work, including maintenance of the office, guest room, and dining facilities.

Safeguarding & Compliance:

  • Act as a key source of support and guidance on safeguarding, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Practice and promote BRAC’s safeguarding policy to protect against harm, abuse, and exploitation.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure for any incidents.
  • Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: B.Com. or BBA degree in Accounting from a recognized university.
  • Academic Record: Minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent (second class/division).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience.
  • Sector Experience: Applicants must have experience in the Fisheries business area.

Skills & Expertise

Technical Skills:

  • Mandatory: Must have operating knowledge in ERP or other accounting software.
  • Proficient fluency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and internet use. (A diploma/short course in Computer Literacy or Basic Excel is preferred).

Functional Skills:

  • Knowledge to execute payment and receipt processing with precision.
  • Ability to generate invoices and cash memos accurately.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to interact with a diverse clientele.
  • Must demonstrate resilience and composure under pressure.
