Important Note: This is a top-tier executive role. The candidate will be the principal architect of the bank’s credit risk strategy, responsible for safeguarding its asset quality. Demonstrable expertise in NPL management and a deep understanding of the entire Bangladesh Bank regulatory framework are non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Oversight: Oversee the implementation and enhancement of all credit policies, procedures, and controls across Corporate, SME, and Personal Banking.
Asset Quality: Ensure the maintenance of a healthy asset portfolio and strict adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Credit Appraisal: Appraise and, if applicable, recommend credit proposals, providing expert opinions on credit matters to business units, the Credit Risk Management Committee (CRMC), and senior management.
Proactive Risk Management: Monitor account conduct and sanction terms, detect early warning signals, and manage credit risk proactively.
NPL Management: Supervise the entire recovery and regularization process for past-due and non-performing loans (NPLs).
Portfolio Health: Develop credit risk mitigation strategies, conduct comprehensive portfolio reviews, identify concentration risks, and support stress testing.
Team Development: Ensure the proper training and competency of all lending staff within the bank.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Minimum Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline from a reputed university. (Candidates with 3rd divisions/classes are discouraged).
Experience: A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in credit risk management within the Banking sector.
